In substance

What this service is

Construction management differs from supervision in authority: supervision checks the quality of work, while CM manages the process of doing it — sequence, work fronts, interfaces between contractors, deliveries and statutory procedures. On INVECON projects the two work together.

When you need this service

Contractors are uncoordinated

Work fronts overlap, trades block each other, and downtime is written off to circumstances.

There is no construction schedule in use

No weekly or daily planning; resource and material demand is never forecast.

Certified quantities do not match reality

Actual quantities are not measured; certificates are signed as submitted by the contractor.

Materials arrive without incoming inspection

Certificates and data sheets go unchecked and non-conformances surface after installation.

HSE exists on paper only

Briefings are formalities, violations are not recorded, and a serious incident is a matter of time.

What we do

Contractor and work-front coordination

Work sequencing and front handover planning, weekly and daily planning, resolution of interface conflicts.

Construction schedule

Construction and delivery schedule maintained and updated, look-aheads issued, resource coverage checked.

Quantity and cost control

Actual quantities measured, certificates verified before signature, plan/actual/forecast maintained for construction cost.

Technical supervision and quality

Incoming material inspection, in-process and acceptance control, covered-works certification, laboratory testing.

HSE

Occupational, industrial and environmental safety requirements and inspections, violation and corrective action register.

As-builts and reporting

Control of as-built documentation, daily and weekly site reporting.

Deliverables

Client outcomes

You pay for measured work

Every certificate is measured and quality-checked before signature.

Less downtime and rework

Work fronts are handed over to plan and clashes are resolved before crews mobilise.

Predictable acceptance

Documentation and quality are controlled as work proceeds rather than reconstructed before the commission.

Safety under control

Violations are recorded and closed rather than left to the contractor's discretion.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Not answered here? Write to us and we will respond on your case.

A general contractor executes the works with its own and subcontracted labour for a contract price and carries cost risk. A construction manager does not execute works: it organises and controls contractors on the owner's behalf for a management fee. The client keeps direct contracts with the trades and sees their real cost.

On our projects, yes — supervision is delivered inside the construction management stream by Engineering Services, the consortium company holding certified experts. It can also be purchased separately.

Legal responsibility for its own workforce stays with the contractor. INVECON sets the project HSE requirements, runs inspections, records violations and enforces their closure, and stops work where violations are critical.
